How does it work?

The Acne Dual Light treatment uses Smart Pulse technology that combines blue and red light technologies enabling all areas of the acne to be treated, from the symptoms to the cause. The blue light destroys the acne causing bacteria while the red light treats all aspects of the acne, which helps with healing the affected areas. The Acne Dual Light applicator has a cooling system that ensures your skin is protected from the heat and that you will experience no discomfort during the treatment. Further protection is provided in the form of a cooling gel which acts as a gentle barrier against your skin. You will also be wearing protective eyewear that will shield your eyes from the flashes of bright light.

How Many Sessions?

For best results, we recommend anywhere between eight to 10 treatments, but this will depend on the condition of your skin. Sessions are usually spaced apart with 3 to 4 days in between each treatment and can last from about 15-20 minutes, again depending on the condition of your skin. The treatment is mild and can be done during a lunch break for convenience, as there is no downtime or recovery period.

Treatment is done on clean skin so before treatment avoid all lotions, creams and make up as well as tanning products. You may also be required to remove any jewelry around the treatment area so keep that in mind when arriving for your session. Immediately after treatment you can apply sunscreen and then your normal make up or moisturizer as needed.
